Tincanknits rye socks for friend
So I miscalculated (of course) and this Tin can knits rye socks sock pattern actually comes a sock WEIGHT yarn and a non-sock WEIGHT yarn....guess what I mixed up. So I did not knit socks. I knitted booties. Soft, crumpled booties. They look WAY better rolled down at the ankle.

I also asked hubby why my socks always look SO FUNKY AND WEIRD while flat compared to store bought socks and he said that it's bc mass produced socks are as close to a tube as possible and so CANNOT look foot like when flat, but mine can.

Mittens for MIL
Same retro dye sock yarn :)
I used this Mittens to Fit pattern but I actually really do not prefer it and am going to use a different pattern next time I do mittens. I don't like knitting mittens or gloves to begin with but this pattern was very uncomfortable to me. I didn't make the hand part long enough and the thumb was too long. Maybe I just have weirdly proportioned hands.
