Bff's second baby clothes
Found this cute converse pattern.
I just did an eyelet tube and then narrowed for shoulders. No pattern.
Looked up generic baby hat sizes and just did a stockinette with purl walls, and variegated yarn for the top.
I just read free baby cardigan pattern after pattern and did this somewhat by eye. I counted stitches to make sure the chevron would be right, so that would have been enough of a modification alone to really make a difference in sizing except that it's a baby. It's squishy.
Luggage identifier tags
I despise trying to pick out which bags are our luggage from baggage claim. They all look the same. Constantly getting faked out!
Decided to use the same stich as the cheetoh shawl.
Cotton Merino vest for hubby
Base: Berroco's Peter Easy
The yarn is beautifully variegated so just stockinette might actually be cleanest and simple pretty enough.
Blue Aarni Mens pullover + outfit
Swatch! Swatch! Swatch!
notiva knits Aarni with sirdar cashmere merino silk
I choose the 4th size:338 stchs in round, makes 169 per front back. Sounds about right????
U.S. 8 (5 mm) x CO 338
made it denser than if maybe had to be
Sirdar cashmere merino silk blend in china blue. I bought 20 balls. I ended up having to buy one or two more to finish the scarf.
Series of hats for hubby

Hat #2
Generic measurements
I'm going to cast CO 100, rib 6 rows, then inc to 120 stch, stockinette for 3.3 inch, then dec with this previous dec.
This is a 120 stch hat.

Hat #3
This is a 100 stch hat.

Hat#4
There's so many strange old fashioned barely more than html old AF knitting pattern sites.
This simple hat pattern is apparenly an archived version of a tropicalyarns website which may have existed in the stone age. Don't get me wrong it's written like (very) old fashioned knitting articles in newspapers and magazines.
This is a 96 stch hat.
OUR Christmas Tree 2022
Finished!

Cute little stormtrooper head

Decided to go with evergreen PWN snow capped pine tree look
---
Always the ugliest part. Early assembly.
Leaves way too concentrated but I just need to see square inches that I'd done so far. Going to probably tear apart and resew with plain panels later.
---
---
You may or may not notice, but I have left the top of the top piece with a hole so that over the holidays we can choose to either change toppers or what not. I will have to make a super long panel (like over a foot and a half long) and make a base spine winding-y and then graft in the little branches I made. This is just going to be too packed/crowded.
---
I guess I forgot to take pictures but the spine/wrap panel did end up bein almost 2 ft long. You can sort of see it now, how much it extended the height of the tree and made it less SQUASHED because I didn't have to sew the panels to each other. A main tree that I sewed panels onto instead.
---
Apparently I also didn't take pictures of the stuffing. After stuffing, I had to "plug" the bottom. Stuffed it, then sewed the bottom flat avoiding the tree feet.
---
After the tree itself was packed and good to go, I cut and sewed a circular panel (poked holes through and sewed ring/spacers around the feet holes) and then tuck the edges in.
Little presents! With bows!
Sofi Nordic sweater for me
---
Dec 17 at the same time I realized I had to convert the argyle sweater into a vest, I decided the pink work had sat for too long and the line probably settled/stretched out so it was the wrong gauge anyway and decided to do it over.
---
Most of the way through 50g ball # 2 out of 16
Impromptu row marker
Remember to edit your charts with good ol microsoft paint kids
